Market meeting well attended
Around 40 enthusiastic local business owners, growers and potential stallholders attended a community meeting last Wednesday to learn about plans for a heritage-themed monthly growers and artisans’ market in Stroud.
Stroud Lions Club organised the meeting to introduce the market concept to the community and to encourage people to get involved in the project.
It was announced on the night that a development application to hold the markets at the Stroud Showground has been approved by Great Lakes Council.
A market organising committee will be formalised by Lions in coming weeks and a committee meeting will be held before the end of October.
If you’d like to get involved in any aspect of the market or would just like to receive regular updates from the committee on the project’s progress please contact Brett Cooper 0488 493 411, Ken Maddocks 4994 5095 or Tess Hilleard 0427 445 665.
